Chat and moderation basics
Keep chat friendly: slow mode, who can chat, moderators, timeouts and bans.
Chat from every platform you stream to comes into one Onzsa chat, with a small badge showing where each message came from.
Settings that prevent trouble
- Who can chat — everyone, followers only, subscribers only, or nobody.
- Slow mode — each person waits a few seconds between messages. Great when chat gets busy.
- Made for kids — turns chat and tips off for that broadcast.
Find these in Creator studio: under “Stream settings” when you set up a broadcast, and under Chat safety once it’s set up.
Dealing with someone
- Delete removes one message.
- Timeout stops someone chatting for ten minutes.
- Ban stops them chatting in your channel until you lift it. They can ask once to be unbanned; you decide.
For people chatting from Twitch, YouTube or Kick, timeouts and bans are passed on to that platform, and you’ll see whether it worked.
Moderators
Add trusted viewers as moderators in Creator studio. They can delete messages, time out and ban in your chat — nothing else on your channel.
If someone is threatening or harassing you, use Report as well as Ban: our team reviews every report. See the content rules.
