Stream with another app or a hardware encoder
Any app or device that can stream to a custom RTMP or RTMPS server works: what to fill in and which settings to use.
You don’t have to change the app you already use. If it can stream to a custom server — it may call it “Custom RTMP”, “RTMPS” or “Other” — it works with Onzsa. Your Onzsa server and stream key are in Settings → Channel under “Stream key”, and in Creator studio once you have set up a broadcast.
Connect it
- In your app’s streaming or output settings, choose the custom server option.
- Paste your Onzsa server into the field for the server (often “URL”, “Server” or “RTMP URL”). Use it exactly as shown: an address that starts with
rtmps://keeps the connection encrypted. - Paste your stream key into the field for the key (often “Stream Key” or “Stream Name”). Treat it like a password.
- Start streaming. Creator studio shows your video arriving within a few seconds.
If your app has one box for a full address instead of two, put your server, then a /, then your key.
Settings that work everywhere
- Video: H.264, constant bitrate (CBR).
- Full picture (keyframe) every 2 seconds.
- Up to 60 frames per second.
- Sound: AAC, 160 kbps, 48 kHz.

Sending to Twitch, YouTube or Kick too
Send us one stream and we pass it on. Each platform gets exactly what you send, untouched, when it fits that platform’s limits. If your stream is bigger than a platform accepts — 4K to Twitch, say — we make a copy that fits for that platform only, and Creator studio tells you. See streaming to other platforms.
If it disconnects
We hold your broadcast open for a short while after your app drops, so a quick reconnect carries on the same stream. Most apps have an “auto reconnect” setting — turn it on.
